Minor key theories and happenings
Things have still been really very quiet, which for me is almost worse than things happening, in a way. I think I'm going to probably start taking photographs a lot more in the hope that the Slender Man will show up one day, because why not? The other day I was kind of poking around with the higher frequencies, as high as I could, looking for anything weird, and then I just sat down with a friend, and he had this video game magazine I owned and I'd read before, cover to cover, at least five times out of boredom, and so I picked it up and flipped it open-- and on the very first page, on the very first phrase I happened to look at was, "the Slender Man mythos."
Needless to say, I flipped my lid and scattered the papers inside everywhere.
But other than that rather unusual coincidence -- and is anything really a coincidence? -- nothing has happened. That afternoon I told my mother about it and we were sort of talking about it, and she mentioned a theory that maybe the Slender Man was somehow different from the other shadow people. So, in our kind of myopic human terminology, I think he could be...like an arch-demon? Somehow more powerful or wilful than other shadow people? He does seem a lot more unique than the rest of them in what he does...on a side note, it really bothers me that no one believes me, which is partially why I really want to get a good photograph or two! It's so frustrating, you wouldn't believe how much, when you tell someone any latest advance in what's going on in your brain circuits as they maniacally whizz away at trying to figure this out, and they sort of condescendingly pretend to believe you and ask you to show them the photograph once you have it.
This afternoon I poked around with the high frequencies in the early night and I was looking out a window, and although it's sort of stupid, I was telling him to show up and doing my best to taunt an interdimensional Lovecraftian horror, and then a streetlight flickered several times, turned off, turned on, and turned off again. The truth is much subtler than a horror novel, but so much stranger.

Rhiannon was mauled by it?
The theory about the shadowish people being sort of harmless, I've been mulling over it and I really don't think so. Shadow people seem to like darting through rooms a lot. From what I've heard, they produce a really sickening feeling, but I've never seen any except the few times I saw the Slender Man. I can't remember if I mentioned this or not, but a couple months ago Rhiannon had a horrible claw-scatch mark on her back, and the next day it was gone. So today she pushes up her sleeve, and on her shoulder there's this horrible claw mark, really long and deep, and still half-clotted. It was almost surreal. I kind of flipped my lid with excitement -- I'm a terrible person, but I wanted to get photographic evidence before it disappeared -- but no-one wanted to humour me and let me use their phone to take a picture.

Now Andy, did you hear about this one?
Sorry, I have that R.E.M. song stuck in my head.
I haven't had anything...overtly strange, I guess, happen to me over winter break. Last week, I think, I was talking to my mother's friend about shadow people and the Slender Man and those types of things and he theorized that maybe shadow people are connected to certain people, watching them, and are there to help them, and it's just that some people never get used to them. Like guardian angels? I don't think that's it at all, but it might be. I mean...it's never hurt either of us, only stood around. And Nocnitsa is sort of like the creepy, ancient Lovecraftian vampire aunt that just hangs around and watches us. But they have such a wrong presence, I mean, you can feel it. I think the one following Rhiannon is definitely not benevolent.
At our old house, when I was a wee little lass, my mother and father happened upon a painting on the Internet that people kept going on about it being haunted. My mother told me this after it happened. She said it was of a little boy and girl in front of some sort of thing with hands pressed against it, and it felt really wrong, but they thought nothing of it. Shortly afterward, my mother said they stated acting really unlike themselves, and a chair toppled over oddly when my mother was standing on it. Then, eventually, it got to a point where during the night whenever my mother closed her eyes she would see a snake, like a cobra, and see red mist floating over the bed, and it only stopped when she tried to think of beautiful, good things. I think she said she put on a cross necklace and kept an amethyst ring, and that helped, and it eventually went away. I've accidentally seen the painting twice while wandering around the Internet, neither time on purpose, and I got really freaked out in case it was haunted and started repeating the rosary. Of course, nothing happened.
That's not really related to anything, I just thought I'd type that down. This new house we've moved into doesn't seem it's haunted at all, and I tried to feel it out with my mind a lot of times, but my mother did chuckle and mention 'mirrors in this house'. It's so frustrating, she seems to know so much, but she never tells me anything. My grandparents wanted the mirror I saw Nocnitsa in, and when I was sitting in the room it was on the wall in, my mother was just smiling knowingly at me, and when I asked her what she thought of it, she just said she didn't think anything!
Last night my mother and sister were out and I was sitting on my bed reading. The bedside lamp has three modes, each brighter than the other, and you change modes by touching it. So I was sitting there, and it turned off. I sort of had an inkling, half-formed, that it could be something not...normal, so I just waited to see if anything would happen. About a minute later, it switched to the dim mode. A minute later, it went to medium, and so on and so forth. I just kept reading throughout all this, and it happened at least six times, I think. I tried to unplug the light to see if anything would happen, but I was too noodle-armed to pull the plug out of the wall. Was it something supernatural?

Evidence, maybe?
I asked Rhiannon the other day how she finds him, when she looks for him, and she told me, very vaguely, that she "just sends out a bunch of different frequencies and then his is really high and black and silky and horrible" -- so my family and I were leaving a restaurant last week, and it was night-time, and I tried to do that. I borrowed my aunt's camera and ran up a bit far ahead, to the end of the street and I was pretty much alone, and tried to send out higher frequencies, like, looking for him with my mind's eye, if that makes any sense, and then I started taking a bunch of photographs, and some street lamps went out. I looked at them, but I can't really see anything that overtly looks like it. This one is pretty much the only clear one, and I'm not sure if I can see anything in it. Does anyone?
And...things are kind of frustrating, because I tell people and they don't believe me, they either think I'm lying or have an overactive imagination, and the more polite ones humour me. It's just frustrating.

Again
Okay, so, this is Elizabeth once again in a more collected state resembling sanity.
Today during PE I wanted to see the Slender Man again, I mean, I was curious, you know? So I just told him to appear and nothing happened, so then I was like, "Well, Rhiannon, you have a psychic link to him, don't you? So find him!" And we were by the basketball court, which was empty, and there was a fence and then a way off there was some kind of elementary school, and a school bus was parked there by a tree. And then she said she saw him, and I looked, and I saw this shadow figure, like made up of shadows, no details, just shadows, there, almost part of the tree again, and she saw it too! And I was amazed, and then we saw its tentacles, or whatever they are, flapping and twisting in front of the bus.
But I didn't have a camera or anything to get EVIDENCE! So I fastened my eyes on it and asked Rhiannon to go get somebody to prove we weren't insane, and she brought over her hipster friends, and he disappeared and NONONONONO how will we prove it?

OH MY GOD. YES. I TOLD YOU SO. I'M NOT INSANE.
OH. OKAY. OKAY. OKAY. AAAAAH MY GOD THIS IS THE BEST BEST BEST THING TO HAVE HAPPENED.
This doesn't sound coherent at all! But you know what happened today? Agh, let me calm down...
Today during PE Rhiannon and I were just walking around the track like usual, and then I decided I wanted to see the Slender Man, darn it! And so I started screaming for the Slender Man to show himself and appear right that instant, and taunting him, and we went round the track once with all this with Rhiannon holding her head and freaking out and saying no, no, don't call him, it's a bad idea, and then nothing happened and she's like, see, nothing happened! But then up ahead there's this break in the fence and then trees and then suburbs, and in the trees I SEE A VERY TALL FIGURE MADE JUST OF SHADOWS AND DARKNESS AND NOTHING ELSE and it didn't seem right and then I pointed to it and said, no I see him! And she did too, and then I ran up to it and then when I came to it it was gone and then she's saying are you a proxy now and I'm like no, I'm just curious and I SAW THE SLENDER MAN. I SAW HIM WITH THESE EYES. Rhiannon's not insane and she's not making it up and I'm not insane either! Or else it's a folie a deux, which seems really unlikely because I -- saw -- him!
